The stunning Estancias of Spain are certainly the most popular overseas shooting destination for the majority of UK guns, and for very good reason.  While we are lucky enough to enjoy an exceptional variety of Redleg Partridge shooting in the UK, be they presented over hedgerows or more extreme birds driven over deep ravines, Spain occupies a prominent position on most bucket lists.  The reason for this is simple, Spain offers teams exceptional shooting, incredible hospitality and their own most enchanting culture and history encapsulating the whole experience.

Spanish partridge shooting was traditionally the preserve of the Spanish Royal Family and aristocracy with the sport widely considered to be the height of the Spanish shooting calendar. In recent years, as interest from the UK has increased, many shoots once solely private have opened their doors to welcome teams and show their individual charm.  Being a long-established sporting agency, William Powell Sporting was one of the pioneer agencies assisting with pairing British teams with the most suitable shooting in Spain and as a result, we are fortunate to work closely with a number of these spectacular shoots in offering the finest driven partridge shooting. The variety of topography found on our partner Estates allows partridges to be presented in a variety of ways, from incredibly challenging high crossing birds to the more traditional fast and furious Spanish partridge drives; both of which provide very challenging and sporting shooting.  In partnership with these estates, we therefore pride ourselves on being able to offer truly bespoke shooting and hunting packages to suit our client’s every need.

The Spanish shooting season runs from mid-September to mid-March.  As a result, shooting in Spain offers the ideal way of extending the traditional UK shooting season abroad, whilst enjoying the warmer climates that Spain has to offer. Due to the close proximity of our partner Estates to Madrid and other major cities, travel to and from the hunting grounds is incredibly convenient and day trips into town for non-shooting guests can easily be catered for.
